Yvonne Moore, 82, of Aledo passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, with her family by her side. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Yvonne was born in Clairette Feb. 5, 1930, to Ludie Bell and William Edward Williams. Mrs. Moore was the first lady bus driver for the Aledo School District. She then became a teacher's aide as she so enjoyed children. She was an active mother participating in scouts, sports and other activities. When their children were grown, she and her husband, Junior, became foster parents.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Moore. Survivors: What a great family legacy she leaves to survive her husband, William H. Moore "Jr."; son, Ted Moore and wife, Carol; daughter, Pamela Cheryl Garcia; grandchildren, Shari Conger and her husband, Kirk, Sandy Moore, Tina Moore, Lucinda Erin Parker, Monica Parker, Jeff Moore and wife, Toni, Stephanie Carpenter and husband, Terry, and Vanessa Parker; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Joyce Bryant and her husband, Bill.
