Betty Jane Moore, 83, of Robeson Extension, Williamsburg RR 1, passed away Saturday evening at her beloved home after a brief illness. She was born in Sandy Ridge, Rush Township, Centre County, a daughter of the late Guy and Margaretta (Harren) Moore.
Miss Moore was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church. She retired as a packer from Westvaco, Williamsburg,and previously was employed as a cook for many years in the Williamsburg schools and as a waitress. Moving to Williamsburg at an early age, she attended a two-room schoolhouse in Robeson Extension. Her strong spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Surviving are: her dear sister, Belva M. Harrison of San Francisco; a niece, Dixie Cornell (husband, Richard) of St. Paul, Minn.; a great-niece, Amanda Kennedy of San Francisco; a great-nephew, Drew Kennedy of Sacramento, Calif.; special friends: Wendy Taxler, Dennis Trader, Mary (Traxler) Rose and Beverly(Traxler) Henderson; other friends; and her constant companion, Santa, the cat
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. Monday by Pastor Barry E. Neal. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Williamsburg United Methodist Church or to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd.,
