Marlow - GEORGE W. MOORE, 92, of Marlow, Okla., passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, in Marlow.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Marlow Cemetery, with the Rev. Toby Walker officiating. Services will be under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.

GEORGE W. MOORE, 92, Marlow, Okla., passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, in Marlow.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. Toby Walker officiating. Services will be in under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.
George was born Tuesday, May 9, 1916, in Clovis, N.M., to John Hollis Moore and Mamie Crum Moore. George was raised in Wilson and Grandfield, Okla. He had lived in Midwest City since 1950, before moving to Marlow three years ago. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II in Washington, D.C., with the 71st Coastal Artillery, and later in France and Germany with the 588th Engineers. George married Phyllis Davis on Jan. 31, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2006. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a federal employee after 30 years service in vehicle maintenance and later as foreman in blade rework. George enjoyed reading the Bible. He was a member of Wickline Methodist Church while living in Midwest City, and later a became a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include a son, Richard Moore and wife Charlotte of Saginaw, Texas; a daughter, Dian Gensamer and husband Jim of Bray; four grandchildren, Ben Gensamer of Marlow, Brian Gensamer, and Brad Gensamer and wife Mary, all of Bray, and Lisa Redd and husband Will of Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Cody, Brian and Kole Gensamer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Mamie and Ruby.
Pallbearers will be Ben Gensamer, Brian Gensamer, Brad Gensamer and Billy Branum.
