She was born to Nellie and Walter Moore in Houston, where she attended Dedee Jr. High and Milby High School. Mary Louise was a child during the Great Depression and a bride during WWII. She was a Camp Fire Girl leader, was appointed to the Governors Flood Control Action Group by then Gov. Clemens, received the "Outstand Citizenship" award for her efforts in securing flood control legislation in the Clear Creek watershed and successfully lobbied the Texas State Senate to ban the practice of dog fighting in Texas. Her love of and dedication to gardening led her to achieve the status of Master Gardener and served as a volunteer with the Montgomery County Agricultural Department. She is preceded in death by her parents and eldest daughter, Sherry Louise Bacon. She is survived by her husband loving of 60 years, Marvin T. Bacon, brother Walter D. Moore, M.D. and his wife Barbara, daughter Jo Lynn Sallee and her husband Wesley, daughter Marlane Orth and her husband Christopher, grandchildren Tracie Williams, Evelyn Orth, Miranda Sallee, Brenna Sallee and numerous nieces and nephews.
