Wilma Deane Moore Akridge, 62, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at her residence.
She was employed by the City of Chattanooga and was a faithful member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church where she was involved in several organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence E. Hammond Berry and Hammond Moore, Jr.; stepfather, George Berry, Jr.; and brother, Alfred Kelly Crutcher.
Survivors include her sons, Vincent S. (Nidza) Akridge, Anthony G. Akridge and Napoleon A. Akridge; daughter, Teressa Henderson (Eric) Jackson; grandchildren, Napoleon "T.J." Akridge, Jordan Henderson Jackson, Vincent E. Akridge, Kennedy V. Jackson, Kendall A. Jackson and Donovan E. Akridge; former husband and devoted friend, Napoleon B. "Jay" Akridge; brothers, Charles (Rebell) Moore, Kenneth Moore and Larry Moore; sisters, Fannie Burwell, Carolyn Dandy and Rosemary (Cleo) Heard; a host of uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Elder Leslie officiating.
Burial: Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, 1107 N. Hickory Street.
