Linda Kay Hopson passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 21, 2008.
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fort Worth Police and Firefighter Memorial, in care of Fort Worth Police Officers Association, 904 Collier St., Fort Worth 76102.
Linda was born Sept. 21, 1953, in Fort Worth to Dr. Cordell B. Moore and wife, Chrystine. Linda and Ron were married Feb. 11, 1978. She was devoted to her family, including her two dogs, Bizzy and Sadie. She enjoyed her extensive collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. She was a true "baseball mom" and enjoyed watching her sons grow from talented young baseball players to strong, dedicated Fort Worth police officers.
"Remember me with smiles and laughter,
for that is how I will remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
then don't remember me at all."
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patrica Childers; and brother, Cordell Moore Jr.
Survivors: Husband, Ronald Hopson of Benbrook; son, Officer Jacob S. Hopson and wife, Shelby of Keller, and son, Officer Jason B. Hopson of Fort Worth; nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends.
