Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel, with Brother Billy Mauldin officiating. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Dorothy was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Waco to Jim and Anna Moore. On Sept. 17, 1948, in Henrietta, she married the love of her life, Moody Brown. They were married for over 65 years. Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker who made family and friends feel welcome in her home. She had a kind and giving heart and always looked for the best in people. Dorothy could make you feel very special and loved, when she looked at you with her little grin and twinkle in her eye. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She had a strong Christian faith and put God first in her life. After Moody's retirement, they spent their golden years traveling extensively throughout the United States and Canada in their RVs and motorhomes with family and friends. They also enjoyed their wonderful trip to Europe. Dorothy is now in her beautiful heavenly home. When you look at a sunrise or sunset, and you see that special splash of pink in the clouds, you will know it is Dorothy giving you a wink and a smile.
