She was born on January 8, 1926 in Edgerly, Louisiana to parents, Amos Moore and Laura Belle Trahan Moore.
She enjoyed gardening and loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. She was known by her family as Nanny. She enjoyed helping to raise all of the children and teaching many of them to cook as well as she did. Nanny will be greatly missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill E. May that was killed on April 6, 1945 during WWII in Okinawa, Japan and her second husband, Edward Galligan, parents and siblings: Swinford, Robert, Lois, Doris and Mary.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty West; three grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Sherman and Bea Craigen; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
