Mrs. Lora Ether Davis, 96, died Friday, October 12, 1990, at Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.

Daughter of the late George Emerson and Martha Adeline Harris Moore, she was born February 5, 1894, at Steele, Mo.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Baptist Church and a homemaker.

On October 12, 1935, she was married to Joseph B. Davis at Caruthersville, Mo. He preceded her in death. Three sons: Woodrow Davis, Gerald Burke, and Harvell Davis, also preceded her in death.

She leaves four daughters: Lorell Turnbo of East Prairie, Mo., Martha Nowlin of Blytheville, Ark.., Norma LaRue of Steele, and JoNell Thomas of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Rev. Clinton Hopkins officiated at funeral services held from Bradshaw German-Aumon Chapel in Steele on Sunday, October 14, 1990, at 2:00 p.m.

Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, with arrangements by Bradshaw Gernan-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele.

Pallbearers were Shawn A. Burke, Joe Burke, Alton Burke, Truman LaRue, Steve Burke, Bill Burke, Wade Thornton, and Guy Turnbo Jr.
