Jarrett C. Moore Dies After Being Stricken Downtown

Jarrett C. Moore, 57, of 5075 Heisig street, a former shipfitter for the Bethlehem shipyards here, died unexpectedly about 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon after being stricken while downtown.

Mr. Moore was sitting in a chair at the Liberal club, 456 Orleans street, which he had just entered, when he suddenly collapsed. A Williams ambulance took him to Hotel Dieu hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A native of Grand Saline, he had been a resident of Beaumont 35 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carrie B. Moore, and his mother, Mrs. Virginia Moore, both of Beaumont.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Williams funeral home. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery.
