Jane Moody Bednar, 73, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, in Arlington after a long battle with diabetes and dementia. A graveside service will be held at noon on Thursday, May 28, at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at Ozona Church of Christ in Ozona, Texas.
Jane was born in Jonesboro, Ark., on June 14, 1935, to Jack Parker and Tommie Rook. She spent most of her life in Ozona, Texas, where she raised her four children. Jane was a loving daughter, wife and mother who had an angelic smile and beautiful singing voice. She touched the lives of everyone she met. Jane was a devout Christian and a life long member of the Church of Christ. She had many friends and family members, all of whom loved and cherished her very much.
Jane was preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, Foy A. Moody; second husband, Clay Bednar; son, Jack Moody; and one sister, Jackie Venable.
Survivors include daughters Karen Bartlett and husband Clark, and Sheri Moody and fiance Jesus Alvarado; son Blake Moody and wife Cyndy; brothers Hugh Parker and wife Frances, Hobert Parker and wife Hazel and Charles Parker and wife Elaine; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Denson and Ralphanne Moody; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
