Vashti Moody Armstrong was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Elizabeth (Mingus) Moody. She married Amos Armstrong on December 24, 1898. They had two children (Gladys and Percy)and then she died very young of teburculosis. Amos remarried, but never fully recovered from the lost of his beloved Vashti.
