Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Montgomery, 76, a retired employee of the maintenance department for the Springfield School Board, was dead on arrival at 11:05 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Springfield for 21 years, Mr. Montgomery was born in Tallula, the son of George and Caroline Luck Montgomery.
He was married to E. Pearl Griffiths Jan. 29, 1912 at Carlinville.
Mr. Montgomery was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
A sister, Mrs. Veta Cappela and one brother, John, both died in 1957.
Surviving are his wife, E. Pearl; and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Davis of Springfield.
