Vestelene Montgomery, 86, of Willard, Missouri, passed away on Friday afternoon, November 30, 2007, at 2:05 p.m. in Willard Care Center following an extended illness.
Vestelene was born in Dade County near Greenfield and was a longtime resident of the Willard area. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Willard First Baptist Church.
Vestelene Price and Russell Montgomery were united in marriage on October 15, 1940. To this union three children were born. Together they were priveleged to share 55 years.
Russell preceded her in death on December 16, 1992. Also preceding her were her parents; brother Fred Price; and sister Christine Schnedler.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Jo and husband, Donnie Rhea; two sons, Thomas Wayne Montgomery and Russell Edward Montgomery and wife, Susan; seven grandchildren, Amy (Mike) Rutledge, John (Nancy) Rhea, Melissa (Tim) Shaffer, Tommy Montgomery, Tonya (Jose) Vega, Ryan Montgomery and Lori Montgomery; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 10 a.m. in Wesley Cemetery, Willard, with Rev. Frank Childers officiating. Interment will follow under the care of Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home of Ash Grove,Missouri.
