Dorothy Lee Windle, age 85, of Aliceville, died Oct. 16, 2012, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Aliceville First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Magnolia Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Windle married her husband Hubert Windle in March of 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Griffith (George) of LaGrange, Ga. and Betty Ann Cochrane (Ronnie) of Aliceville, Ala.; her sons, Robert Windle (Denise) of Inverness, Nova Scotia and Tim Windle of Aliceville, Ala.; her sister, Mary Jane Duncan (Calvin); 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews

Mrs. Windle was born November 12, 1926, in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Cainus Lee Montgomery and Mary Alma Smith Montgomery. She was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church, a retired employee of Piggly Wiggly, and a well known resident of Aliceville.
