Pauline J. (Almeida) Monteiro, age 82, of New Bedford, MA died November 26, 2001 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of Frank C. "Chico" Monteiro,and daughter of the late Joaquim and Gertrude (Souza) Almeida.
A lifelong resident of New Bedford, she was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Monteiro was formerly employed as an inspector at the Cornell-Dubilier Electronics Corporation until her retirement.
She was a former member of the Martha Briggs Educational Club.
Survivors include her husband; a brother, Anthony "Rico" Almeida and his wife Emily of New Bedford; a sister, Lillian Senna of South Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary McGlaun, Clotilde Burgo, Florence Pontes and Manuel "Snubby" Almeida.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church Friday, November 30th at 10 AM, followed burial in St. John's Cemetery.
