Frances Monroe Bass, 81, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 19, 2002. A memorial service was held Aug. 21 at First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Cecil McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville.
Mrs. Bass was born May 18, 1921, in Water Valley, MS, the daughter of A.B. and Ila Rogers Monroe.
She was a homemaker, and a member of First Congregational Church. She and her husband resided in Nashville from 1949 to 1993, and attended First Presbyterian Church there.
Survivors include her son, Ben Bass of Alpharetta, GA; daughter, Frances Carson of Crossville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Bass Jr.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
