Mrs. Mabel S. (Monica) Barry of 102 Palm st., died suddenly at her home this morning. She was the widow of former Nashua Mayor William H. Barry, who died in March, 1958. Born in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Forrest) Monica, she had resided in Nashua for 35 years. Mrs. Barry was a graduate of Lebanon High School and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. A communicant of St. Patrick's church, she was a member and vice president of St. Joseph's Hospital Alumnae association; vice president of the Nashua unit, Catholic Nurses, Rivier College Guild, and Court Bishop Molloy, Catholic Daughters of America. She was very active in the local Red Cross Blood Bank program. Survivors are; one son, William H. Barry jr. of Grafton, Mass; two daughters, Jane M. Barry of this city and Mrs. Kenneth (Patricia A.) Wolfe, of Lowville , NY; five grandchildren, eight sisters, Mrs. Joseph Gavin of Concord, Mrs. Albert Donahue of Boston, Mrs. Enid Finn of Newmarket, Mrs. John Chambers of Manchester, Phoebe Monica, Dorothy Monica, Josephine Monica, Leona Monica, two brothers, William Monica and Joseph Monica, all of Lebanon; also nieces and nephews. Calling hours at the Edmund F. Sweeney funeral home, 22 Prospect st, are 7 to 10 tonight and Friday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 pm.
