Evelyn M. Dean, 83, of New Vienna, died on Friday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2013 in Bethesda North Hospital.
Evelyn was born on July 13, 1930 in Dayton, a daughter of Roy and Faye Current Mongold. A 1949 graduate of Martinsville High School, she worked with her husband farming and operating a dairy for several years before retiring. She was a member of the New Vienna Eastern Star and of St. Teresa and St. Columbkille Churches.
She is survived by her husband, John D. "Jack" Dean; and children, Jacky Walker of New Vienna and Patty (Darrell) Saylor of Wilmington; grandchildren, John (Sue) Walker, James (Vicky) Walker, Jenifer Gibson, Amy (Johnathan) Terry and Garrett (Michelle) Turner; siblings, Grace Pratt of Wilmington and Eldon (Ruthella) Mongold of North Fort Myers.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary L. Turner; and siblings, Anna Alice, Bill and Bob.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, Nov. 12 at noon at St. Columbkille Church in Wilmington. The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon today at the church.
The burial will be in the New Vienna Cemetery.
The Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina is in charge of the arrangements.
