Margarita M. Carrillo passed away on March 28, 2011 at the age of 58. She was born on January 30, 1953 in Mercedes, Texas to Juanita Zavala Molina and Pedro Molina, Sr.
Margarita was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. She was caring and devoted to her family, working hard all her life to make sure they were taken care of. Long drives through the country side and trips to San Antonio with her daughter were some of her favorite pastimes. She also made sure to get together weekly with her sisters to have coffee and catch up with each other's lives. She was employed by CCISD until her illness forced her to retire.
She is preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Avelino Carrillo, Sr.; her brother, Johnny Molina, nephew Johnny Molina, Jr. and mother-in-law, Guadalupe Soto.
Surviving her father, three children, Avelino Carrillo, Jr. (Mary Ann), Adam Carrillo (Ruby) and Laura Carrillo (Phillip); two grandchildren, Isaiah C. Carrillo and Myra A. Cobio. She is also survived by her sisters, Diana Neighbors, Betty Molina, Cindy Gonzalez, Terry (Rudy) Vela and Janie Molina; brothers, Paul Molina, Valentine Molina (Sylvia), Mario Molina, Inez Molina (Maria) and Pedro Molina, Jr. among numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Vista Care Hospice staff at Trinity Towers and Dr. Jude Aririguzo for the love and attention given to their mother.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with a Holy Rosary to be recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
