Mary Birdiebel Johnson 72, of Rochester died Friday at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis.
She was born July 4, 1922, in Springfield, the daughter of George Henry Lee and Emma Marguerite (Kussmaul) Mohler. She married Elwin Johnson in 1950. Mrs. Johnson was a resident of Rochester most of her life. She was a member of South Fork Church of Christ, Sangamo O.E.S 746, Cotton Hill Home Extension and auxiliary member of the Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
Survivors: husband, Elwin Johnson; a son, David S. Johnson of Indianapolis; two daughters, Anita Poffenberger and Denise D. McCann, both of Rochester ; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; and several cousins.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester with Dr.
Marion Henderson and Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Burial: Rochester Cemetery.
