Robert D. Moffitt, 98, of Newberg, passed away June 17, 2015. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Katie J. Moffitt; daughters, Priscilla Heinzman, Judy Wahl, Linda Webb and Faye Pierson; and many grandchildren and friends.
Robert was a veteran of World War II, where he served as a technical sergeant for the U.S. Army. After the war, he placed roots in Newberg, and started his farm. Most days you could find him on his John Deere tractor. He took pride in his land and made sure his family was always taken care of. He was an amazing businessman and succeeded at anything he put his mind too. He will be missed and always loved.
A service was held Monday, June 22, 2015, in Willamette National Cemetery.
