Obituary
On October 26, 2011 Jan Moerike of Regina went to be with her son Matthew in heaven.
She passed away with her loving husband Carm at her side, at the age of 63 years. She also leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Ashleigh Ferguson; "children" Karen and Diem Tomasson and Chris Moerike; brother Bob (Bobbi) Lockrey; sisters Ellen Schmidt, Ruby (Bill) Wirll, Win (Brian) Morton, Kathy Williamson and Lori (Rob) Grainger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her son Matthew and her parents Bob and Elsie Lockrey.
Jan had a very adventurous soul. She had a lovable personality that allowed her to attract friendships with ease. As a single parent of two children with special needs, she put herself through nursing school becoming a Registered Nurse specializing in Coronary Care. She was instrumental helping to establish individual funding for families of special needs children.
She found true happiness when meeting the love of her life Carm 12 years ago. The lives she touched are too many to name. She is loved and will be missed.
A VISITATION will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 between 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East in Regina.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh Street N. in Regina, SK. In Jan's honour, please wear bright colors to this event.
