Corinne Denton went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on
November 2, 2011. She was born in Big Spring, Texas on December 30, 1921 to Joseph and Beatrice Mittel. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1939 and was married to James W. Denton in April of 1940. She gave birth to her first daughter in June of 1944 and her second daughter in August of 1953.

While living in Big Spring, she graduated from Secretarial School and held her first job as a bookkeeper at Cosden Refinery. After moving to Odessa, she worked at several jobs, most of them in the bookkeeping field and retired after 20+ years of service at City Plumbing of Odessa.

She has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa since 1953, and as a preschool Sunday school teacher, in her younger years, she loved teaching children about the Lord. Her faith was one of the most important things in her life and she loved Jesus. Her way of witnessing to people was to give them a Jesus plaque or a ribbon cross. She was proud of her handy work, making over 10,000 plaques that can be seen and spotted all over town.

As a long time resident of Odessa, she was a member of the National Association of Women in Construction. After retirement in the workforce, she volunteered her time as a Pink Lady at Medical Center Hospital. In her spare time she loved china painting, sewing and spending time with family.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Beeman of Odessa, and daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Kellie Hall of Mansfield, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christi Harris of Decatur, IL., Pat and Mona Williams of Odessa, Mike and Veronica Williams of Odessa, Deann and Todd Welch of Midland, Aaron and Cathy Hall, Joel and Leslie Hall, and Leann Hall all of Mansfield, TX., and Jessica and Josh Leach of Pawnee, IL., along with nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, brother, J.C.
