1960 - 2011

Kimberly A. Allen, 50, of Oak Hill, formerly of Portsmouth, died Friday, January 7, 2011, at the SOMC Hospice Center.

Born August 1, 1960, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of Dorothy Dunn Mitchell of Portsmouth and the late Robert Mitchell.

Kim was a sales representative for Sprint in Waverly, a catholic and a member of the Thoroughbred Horse Assoc.

Also surviving are her husband, Timothy Allen, a son, David C. Jewett III of Oak Hill, a daughter, Michelle N. Bender of Niles, step-daughters Mar-Lene E. Allen of Angola, Ind., and Kcar-Lene E. Cross of Jackson, four brothers, John Mitchell of Hamden, Dr. William Mitchell of Charlotte, NC., Robert S. Mitchell II of McDermott, and David Mitchell of Portsmouth, a sister, Karen Green of Lucasville, and six grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.

The family will receive friends at Brant's in Portsmouth from noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Mom,I miss you more and more each day. So many things said and left undone. You should see your grandchildren. They all are growing up into wonderful kids. Its because of you I am the mother and woman I am today.I hope you know that. I love and miss you.
