Mrs. Minnie G. Adams, 70, Cadiz, Rt. 1, died at 1:30am today at Shady Lawn Nursing Home after a long illness.
Services will be at 2:30pm Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home. The Rev. William Davis will officiate. Burial will be in East End Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was born in Trigg County, Feb. 12, 1900, the daughter of the late Reuben and Zettie Litchfield Mitchell. She was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Robert Crossman, Eustis, Fla., Mrs. Agnes Francis, Bumpus Mills, Tenn., Mrs. Carl Verbarg, Metropolis, Ill., Mrs. Arthur Thomas, Louisville, and Mrs. Carl Outlaw, Jr., Cadiz; two sons, Herschel of Hanson and Van Adams, Cadiz; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Woody, Redondo Beach, Calif., Mrs. Nina Lanto, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Stanley Reagon and Miss Montie Mitchell, both of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Woodrow Mitchell, Cadiz, and Bryan Mitchell, Lamasco; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A daughter, Mrs. Eileen Adams Kirby, preceded her in death about 26 years ago.
