Aslean Thomas-Norfleet, affectionally referred to as "Lo" was born February 9, 1940 in Koenton, AL. She was one of eleven children born to the late Julius and Bessie Mitchell. She departed this earthly life on Friday, February 10, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family to be with God in her heavenly home.
Aslean "Lo" is preceded in death by her parents Julius and Bessie Mitchell, six brothers, Julius, Jessie, Earnest Lee, Joe, Leroy, Eugene, two sisters Vicie and Georgia, two children Tommie and Vivian.
Aslean "Lo" confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Shiloh M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. James Walton. After marrying her loving husband Rev. Robert Norfleet she continued her fellowship with God at Friendship M.B. Church. Aslean "Lo" was a very soft spoken independent, strong courageous woman who had a loving quiet spirit. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and 6:00 - 7:00pm at Shiloh M.B. Church, 18101 Oak Ave., Lockport, IL. Service at 7 p.m. Pastor Richard D. House officiating. Interment Saturday, February 18, 2012 10:00 a.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
