Mitchell, Laurina Mae 94 7/6/1914 2/24/2009 Born in Caldwell, Idaho, to Hattie and Clarence Faris, Mae moved to Portland with her family in 1932. She married Henry Mitchell in 1937, and they moved to a small farm in Bonny Slope in 1944 where they raised their family. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; brother, Arvene; and granddaughter, Leslie. She is survived by her sister, Thema Faris White (Dean); daughter, Susan Mitchell Emery (Dr. Lee); sons, John (Linda) and Stephen (Kris Kash); nine grand-children; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Mitchell Womack and Edith Mitchell Scott. Her family and many close friends will miss her smile and great sense of humor. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at Tigard Christian Church, 13405 S.W. Hall Blvd., Tigard. In lieu of flowers or donations, please plant a flower for Mae.
