Cleta Rosemond Mitchell, 97, of Tulsa passed from this life Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was born January 13, 1915 in Latham, Kansas the daughter of Jesse Vinton and Francis (Sensenbaugh) Chinn.
Cleta married Harry Edward Mitchell in May of 1939 and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage before his passing in February of 1980. She was a retired florist and was a member of the Adventist Fellowship Church. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, flower arranging, cooking, and babysitting her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; husband, Harry; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Her survivors include daughters, Carole Latham of Tulsa and Sherry Brown and husband, Don of Tulsa; brother, Stanley Chinn and wife, Nancy of Chico, California; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Latham of North Carolina and Tandy Gutierrez and husband, Mateo of New York; 2 great grandchildren, Milo and Sam Gutierrez both of New York.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11 am, Monday, September 10, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Stephen Carlile will officiate. Services are entrusted to Heath-Griffith Funeral Home.
