Mrs. Rebecca Mitchell, aged 73 years, wife of Alvin Mitchell, of the Upper Licks section died at 6 a.m. Monday at the home of her son, William Mitchell, where she had been in failing health for four months.
She was a member of the Tea Run Christian church in Fleming county.
Besides her husband and son, she is surived by a daughter, Mrs. Norman Jolly of Montgomery county; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. John Hunt and Mrs. Nellie Hunt of Carlisle, and Mrs. Henry Gray of Flemingsburg; two brothers, William Stanfield of Maysville and John Stanfield, Carlisle.
Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her son, William Mitchell, conducted by Rev. George Mitchell, and burial was in the Carlisle cemetery.
Pall bearers were, Elgin, Arlie and Edward Mitchell, Edward Lee, George and James Jolly.
