Barbara J. “B. J.” Knickerbocker, 84, of Rockford passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015. Born Dec. 13, 1930, in Evanston, daughter of Robert and Catherine (Sheridan) Miskelly. Married Ted C. Knickerbocker on April 11, 1959, in Chicago. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Member of Loves Park VFW Ladies Auxiliary for over 20 years, where she served as chairperson for their cancer drive.

Survivors include her children, Richard T. (Debra) Knickerbocker, Robert T. Knickerbocker, Judith A. (Mark) Bowen and Kathleen (William) Linden; grandchildren, Erin Linden and Sean Linden; sister, Sister Barbara Rose Miskelly; several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband; and brother, Robert Miskelly.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time.

Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northern Illinois Hospice.
