Emanuel "Manny" Misenti, 65, of 52 Mott Lane, Moodus, husband of Maria Papadopoulou Misenti, died Thursday at his home. He was born May 1, 1942, son of the Late Emanuel and Ruth ( Dolan) Misenti. He was the owner of Commercial Electric. He was a member The East Haddam Sportsman Club, The American Legion, the NRA, The Republican Party, 2001-2007 East Haddam Board of Education, Republican State Central Committee and formerly the Nutmeg Beagle Club. He had served on the Board of Selectmen of East Haddam. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Ella Fawber of West Hartford, Ruth Denya and her husband, Ron, of Moodus and Emma Aguilera and her husband, Richard, also of Moodus; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Sebastian School, 19 Durant Terrace, Middletown, CT 06457.
