"Kate" was the daughter of Martha Jane (Hornbaker) and John Randles. She spent most of her life in Roscoe and was a member of the Roscoe Methodist Church. She married John Cass Mirise,on Nov. 4, 1883, he died June 15, 1926. They lived just a stones throw from the old Canal in Roscoe.The home and that of her half-brother Jack Randles was destroyed when the new highway was put through.
