MRS. BALDWIN DIES SUNDAY
South Bethany Resident Is Stricked After Five-Year Illness.
Mrs. Martha Jane Baldwin, 70, died at 8 o'clock Sunday morning at the county hospital after an illness of five years. She had been bedfast for the past ten weeks.
Mrs. Baldwin, who had lived in the South Bethany community on Nashville route 4 for 27 years, was born Feb. 18, 1882, in Kentucky.
Surviving his her husband, Emmett W. Baldwin, a retired farmer. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Burton of Route 2 and Mrs. Monnie Taylor, Cortland; four sons, William Baldwin, Roy Baldwin and Fred Baldwin, all of Nashville route 4, and Frank Baldwin, Columbus route 4.
Other survivors are three brothers, Will Tom Minges and Alonzo Minges, both of Elkhorn, Ky., and Tyler Minges, Route 7; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Barkes, Fox and Inlow funeral home, and burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. The casket is open at the funeral home until time of the services.
