The funeral for Fay Evelyn Ammon, 80, 121 Middletown Gardens, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Parson Mortuary-Wheeling Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours at the mortuary are until 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. today and before the service tomorrow. Mrs. Ammon died Yesterday in Ball Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Mount Zion in Wells County and moved to Matthews as a child. She attended schools in Matthews before moving to Muncie in 1922.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the church's Relief Society. She also belonged to War Mothers, World War I Barracks Auxiliary, High Street Travelers, Senior Citizens 1 and Warner Gear Sympathy Club Auxiliary.
Surviving are four sons, Alfred, Muncie, Donald H., Smyrna, Tenn., Robert L., Wichita Falls, Texas, and Howard, Vicksburg, Mich.; two daughters, Marcella Burton and Joan Bilbrey, both of Muncie; three brothers, Robert Minch, Slidell, La., Fred Minch, Michigan, and Paul Minch, Mount Clements, Mich.; four sisters, Emma Townsend, Yorktown, Jean and Erma, both of Marion, and Marie Lewis, Gas City; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
