CLYO - Martha Mincey Graves, 94, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 after a short illness. Martha was born in Bulloch County, Georgia on May 1, 1918 to the late Queen Oliff and Thomas Harvey Mincey. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Mincey Moody; other sister, Ruby Mincey; and brother, Elmer Mincey. She moved to Springfield with her family in 1942 and began working with the telephone company. Later she worked at the Mars Theatre, then for Varnell Chevrolet and Arden Chevrolet. Martha is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen Exley (Douglas) of Clyo; her grandson, William Jason Crawford (Jess) of Statesboro; her great- grandson, Liam Jason Crawford; step-grandsons, Grant Exley of Rincon and Kyler Exley of Springfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 2p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Springfield United Methodist Church followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
