Johnny C Mims, 56, of 5901 Glenmere Drive, Columbus, GA, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at his home. He was born March 10, 1951 in Butler, GA, son of the late James Mims and Mrs Viola Character Jackson of Columbus. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a son, James Mims and a grandson, Honour Mims. Survivors include his mother; his wife, Mrs Louise Downer Mims; a daughter, Bonita (Carlton) Hubbard of Columbus, a son, Dennis J Mims of Stockbrdge, GA; 2 grandchildren; a sister, Hope Mims of Atlanta, GA; 2 brothers, Larry Mims and Willie R Mims of Columbus; 2 aunts, Johnnie (Gene) Allen of Atlanta and Nannie (James) Murray of Butler; 4 uncles, Elbert (Nettie) Character and Richard (Annie B) Charactger of Butler, John (Matha) Character of Albany, GA and Roy Mims of Atlanta. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Green Hill Baptist Church. Reverend George Cofield will officiate. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery.
