Sadie Marie Milner was the daughter of William and Martha E. (Borland) Milner. She was married three times. First to Roy Lloyd Tolar. They had two children. She second married Herbert L. Matthews who died in 1955 and third married Stanley J. Welch.
Obituary from Belleville News Democrat, 9/29/1975, pg. 2:
Mrs. Marie Welch, nee Milner, 75, of Cahokia and formerly of East St. Louis, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital, Belleville. She was an employe of Swift and Co., National City, for 29 years, retiring ten years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley J. Welch, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph [Maxine} Goodwin and a son, William B. Tolar, both of Fieldon, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. John Egan and Mrs. Louis Luksza, both of Cahokia; and Mrs. Stanley Tate, Buena Park, Calif.; three brothers, Logan Milner, Riverdale, Calif; Harry W. Milner, Collinsville; and Oliver Milner, Glendale, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Kassly Colonial Mortuary, Fairview Heights, to Immaculate Conception Church, East St. Louis, for services at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
