Mrs. Anna T. Gowdey 82 of 107 Washington Street, widow of Eugene K. Gowdey died at her home on Monday afternoon(Nov.27th, 1950) after a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late William H. and Teresa Cook Mills, she lived in Newburgh nearly all of her life and was a member of St. Johns Methodist Church. Survivors are one son Kennith G. Gowdey of Newburgh; one daughter Helen wife of George Camp of Brooklyn; one brother George F. Mills of New Windsor; four grandchildren Mrs Jane James, Kennith Gowdey, Eugene Gowdey and George Gowdey. One Great Grandson Joseph James, also nieces and nephews. Funeral services on Thursday morning at 11 am at Perrotts Funeral Home 1 Grand Ave will be conducted by the Rev. Douglas W. Fletcher, Pastor of St. Johns Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Georges Cemetery, Newburgh. Anna T. Gowdey is the sister of George F. Mills who is the Grandfather of the Babcocks of New Windsor, New York.
