Ruth C. Mills, 98, of Amarillo died Friday, June 3, 2005.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Richard Dickerson of Bykota Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills was born May 31, 1907, in Franklin County to Alexander Brown and Rhoda Lane Brown.
Mrs. Mills was a longtime resident of Amarillo. She was a charter member of Southlawn Baptist Church and taught the Friendship Sunday School class for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.W. "Red" Mills.
Survivors include three daughters, Pansy Blakely of Boerne, Anna Lewis and husband, Charles, of Mabank and Kate McHugh-Conway of Arlington; nine grandchildren, Sam Blakely, Debra Stevens and husband, Mark, Chuck Lewis, Blake Blakely and wife, Roxzanne, Dan Lewis, Mark McHugh and wife, Valisa, April Roush, Abigail McHugh and Carrley McHugh; a sister, Mamie Reynolds of Lubbock; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1500 S. Coulter St., Suite No. 3, Amarillo, TX 79106.
