Miller - Joseph Ami, son of Samuel P. and Katherine (Raber) Miller, was born near Wheatland, Mo., Jan. 2, 1886; died suddenly near Casa Grande, Ariz., where he had been spending the winter with his daughter, Apr. 25, 1970; aged 84 y. 3 m. 23 d. On Oct. 4, 1908, he was married to Lydia Schrock, who died Dec. 11, 1959. Surviving are 5 children (Norman J., Katherine-Mrs. Albert Schrock, J. Emerson, S. Paul, and Mary Eleanor-Mrs. Henry Kochsmeier), 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers (Christian R., Samuel E., and Otto J.), and one sister (Minnie-Mrs. Henry Glick). He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, one brother, and one granddaughter. He was a member of the Harrisonville Church. Funeral services were held at the Sycamore Grove Church, Apr. 29, with Elmer E. Yoder, Earl Buchwalter, and James Christophel officiating; interment in the Clearfork Cemetery, Cass Co., MO.
