Marion Wilbourn Miller Lovett went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2009. Marion was a loving and giving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 28, 1912 to the late Hugh R. and Willie Mae Wilbourn.

Marion attended public schools in Little Rock and graduated from Central College in Conway, Arkansas. She joined Pulaski Heights Baptist Church at the age of twelve. In 1934 she married Charles B. Miller and they had two sons, Charles Wilbourn and John Maxwell. In 1945 her husband co-founded Allied Telephone Company (currently known as Alltel) with her brother Hugh R. Wilbourn, Jr. After Mr. Miller's death in 1962 she joined her brother and son, Charles, on the Board of Directors of Allied Telephone Company.

Marion was married to Ernest Pettit from 1965 until his untimely death in 1968. She met Tom Lovett at a telephone convention in Mountain Home, Arkansas and they were married in 1971. Marion and Tom were happily married for 24 years before he passed away in 1995. Marion loved to entertain; relished travel and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hot Springs was one of her favorite places to relax. At the time of her death she was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles Wilbourn Miller and John Maxwell Miller. Marion is survived by six grandchildren; Meredith Miller Bentley and husband John of Scottsdale, Arizona; Andrew Lee Miller and wife Susan of Little Rock; Alan Humphrey Miller and wife Elizabeth of Little Rock; Charles Maxwell Miller and wife Kelli of Little Rock; Erica Miller Wilson and husband Brent of Dallas, Texas and Stephen "Dax" Miller of Little Rock. Marion is also survived by daughter-in-law Mary C. Humphrey Harper, whom she truly considered a daughter, and husband Frederick of Knoxville, Tennessee. Other survivors include eleven great grandchildren: Will, Mary Margaret and Miller Bentley; Drew Miller; Matthew, Spencer and Morgan Miller; Cameryn and Meredith Miller; Brayden Maksimovich and Hope Miller. She is also survived by two nieces, Jo Ellen Ford and Beverly Pascoe and one nephew, Randy Wilbourn as well as Tom Lovett's children, Scott Lovett, Steve Lovett and Susan Brown.

The family is thankful for the loving care given to Marion by caregivers Autumn, Ruth, Sharde, Vicky, Barbara, Kathy and Suzanne.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham Street, followed by a private burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
