She then married Raymond Sloan on July 5, 1980; he died in October of 1985.
She graduated from Wabash High School in 1929. She retired in 1975 from the Wabash F.W. Woolworth store and had also worked in the library at West Ward Elementary School of Wabash. She was a member of the Wabash First Brethren Church and the Wabash Order of Eastern Star.
