GRANGER - Marjorie Hope Miller Braun Bordner, 98, of Silver Leaf Court, Granger, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Monday, January 10th, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Marjorie was born on Oct. 27, 1912, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Fred and Bell Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Miller; three sisters, Ruth Craig, Virginia Kesler and Dorotha Miller and; a nephew, David Kesler. In June 1959 in Fort Wayne she married Arnold Braun, who preceded her in death in May 1974. Then in 1979 she married Andrew Bordner, who preceded her in death in February 1984. Marjorie is survived by her nieces, Gloria (Ralph) Prawat of Granger, Judith (Rip) Wilson of Phoenix, AZ, Beverly (Myron) Fledderjohnn of New Knoxville, OH, and Janet (Albert) Ehman of Perkasie, PA; and Gloria's children, R. Scott (Sally) Miller and Diana (Edward) Filer, who thought of Marjorie as a grandmother. Marjorie had lived with her niece, Gloria, and her husband since 2000. Marjorie was like a second mother to her niece. Marjorie worked for Wayne Candies, making Wayne Buns and hand-dipped chocolates for 25 years before she retired in 1963. She graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne and was a member of Clay United Methodist Church in South Bend. Marjorie's love of chocolate lasted throughout her life. She ate chocolate every day. She was an avid reader and loved gardening. She had a great love of all flowers. Family and friends may visit an hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Friday, January 14, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Herb Buwalda officiating. Graveside service will be on Friday at 2:45 p.m. at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
