Muriel Louise Miller Mamminga, 89, of Aurora passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006 after a brief illness. She was born August 25, 1917 in Whitten, IA.
Muriel was employed by the Buttrey-Wulff-Mamminga Insurance Agency for over 40 years. She was a member of the New England Congregational Church, the Midwest Early American Pressed Glass Club, the West Side Reading Circle and several bridge groups. She was a founding member of the Fox River Valley Symphony.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 1987. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Carol Ann) of Dallas, Texas, David (Marnie) of Batavia, and James (Jan) of Aurora; five grandchildren, Kevin (Anna), Sara and her fiancÚ Daniel Long of Dallas, John (Lara), Bob (Jen) of Geneva and Tom of Chicago. She is also survived by her sister Lois (Howard) Lawrence of Florida; a niece; and several nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday 11 AM December 20, 2006 at New England Congregational Church 406 W. Galena Aurora with Rev. Gary McCann and Mr. Joe Dunham officiating. Interment will take place Wednesday 9 AM December 20, 2006 at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will take place Tuesday 3-7 PM at The Healy Chapel 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mrs. Mamminga's name may be directed to New England Congregational Church 406 W. Galena Aurora, IL.
