Birth: Jun. 8, 1825
Nicholas County
Kentucky, USA
Death: Feb. 12, 1905
Boone County
Indiana, USA

She was the second wife of John Lister, whose first wife was Louisa Anderson. She was a hard worker and had a hard life raising so many children. She was a self made doctor of sorts and people came to her for help for themselves and their animals. She was very pretty younger. Had beautiful hands from photos I see. She was born in Nicholas Co., KY died Boone Co., IN. Martha and John were married Sep 21, 1859 in Boone CO.,IN
Grt.grt. Gramma Martha remarried after John died and there were more children for her to cook for and do laundry for. They were older, they had stayed on the farm tohelp their father, and I believe she had a rough life after that. Her two younger children were for some reason taken away for a time when she re-married but came back to her.
Her time on Earth seemed to be very hard and mostly sad to me, I hope to see her some day and talk to her about her life.
