Lorene Brown, Ponca City resident, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Westminster Village. She was 78 years young.
The funeral will be held graveside at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Lawnhaven Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas, with the Revs. Don and Noreen Stanton, pastors of Faith Tabernacle Church of Ponca City, officiating. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.
Lorene was born on Dec. 2, 1925, to Clyde and Doll Porter Miller in Burleson County, Texas. She married John W. Brown in San Angelo on Oct. 19, 1948. She was a retired homemaker, formerly manager of Williams Shoe Store, and Pioneer Shoes of Ponca City. She attended First and Second Baptist Church of Ponca City. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed playing bridge and dominoes.
She is survived by two sons Larry Owens and his wife Moniesa of Ponca City and Joseph Terrell of Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Glenda Kinzie and her husband Steve of Ponca City, Linda Smith and her husband Ed of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jorene Hunsaker and her husband Scott of Ponca City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Cates of Airedale, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
