FITCHBURG -- Elizabeth B. (Miller) MacDonald, 73, of Fitchburg, formerly of Shirley, died Sunday, April 6, in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster.
She was born on July 13, 1929, in Needham, the daughter of Herman O. and Mary A. (Corrigan) Miller.
Mrs. MacDonald spent her early life in Quincy and later in Needham where she attended Needham High School.
A resident of Fitchburg for the past 20 years, she also had lived in Shirley for 15 years.
An avid doll collector and bingo player, she was also a devoted mother to her son, James MacDonald Jr.
She is survived by her son, James MacDonald Jr. of Paxton; two brothers, William Miller of Milford and James Miller of Needham; two sisters, Joanne Vek of Deerfield, Fla., and Patricia Coit of North Kingstown, R.I.
Funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Shirley Funeral Home, 6 Harvard Road, Shirley. Relatives and friends will be received by the family from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial in Shirley Village Cemetery.
