Cynthia Rose Ann (Hegge) Miller was born July 30, 1936, at Baltic, SD, to Justin and Agnes (Overby) Hegge. She was raised west of Dell Rapids where her family owned Hegge Service Station. While still living at home, she preferred helping her father in his garage rather than spending time in her mother's kitchen. Even so, she went on to become an incredible cook in later years. She attended Baltic High School, graduating in 1954. After graduating, she married and lived near Trent, SD, before moving to Colorado in late 1957. She was remarried in 1970 to James Miller. Her working years encompassed a variety of positions in the retail/business fields before retiring in 1996. She then returned to her roots in 1998, living in Sioux Falls until her death. Cindy enjoyed flowers of all varieties and definitely had a green thumb. She was also a "handywoman", able to repair, fix, and remodel just about anything. She loved to sew, cross stitch, and enjoyed numerous other crafts in her spare time. One predominant passion in recent years was the marble game Aggravation that she renamed "Killer Marbles" as that was her strategy when she played. Her family teasingly called her the "Mean Green Bean" as she always played with the green marbles and was out to win! Cindy's greatest love was her family, finding particular joy in family gatherings. The laughter that took place during those special times always lifted her spirits. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Mark Trevithick, Karen (Emmett) Gundvaldson, Richard (Kelli) Miller; daughter-in-laws, Penny Trevithick and Tammy Trevithick; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Jess (Sharon) Hegge, John Hegge, Ronald (Margaret) Hegge; sisters Arlyce (Lester) Oien, Gloria Berndt, and Patricia Perley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband James Miller; children Michael Trevithick, James Trevithick, Kandi Trevithick; parents Justin and Agnes Hegge; brother Jerome Hegge; and brother-in-law Louis Perley. In lieu of a funeral service, her family will gather for a Celebration of Life at a later date. Burial will be in Longmont, CO.
