She was a devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church where she belonged to the choir and member of the Women's Circle Group. She previously attended St. Mark's Methodist Church in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Bowman also liked to help with Meals on Wheels.
Interment in Gaston Memorial Park.
